Progress

I have been spread pretty thin over the past couple of weeks. What little free time I have had was devoted to the Pirate a Day blog. I finally was able to sit down and work on a watercolor tonight. Next step acrylics, then framed.

Wiggly Flower (not done)

The first problem I ran into was when I cut out the paper to the frame size, I didn't leave room to tape it down. I tape the paper down to prevent curling. Oops. I did the watercolor portion of one floral. Next step, acrylics.

It worked!

I cut into the crow feather but because I waited so long the feather was brittle and broke into several pieces.  with my never say die attitude I went a head and dipped it into the ink and began drawing. The results follow.

Working backwards

I bought these three frames at an art tag sale. So I am working backwards, getting the frames first then creating the art that goes with them. I decided on three florals. The large crow feather at the bottom of the picture I am going to cut and use it as a pen. I hope it works.

Back to normal

If you are looking for the pirate sketches it has migrated over here.

I have started two new pieces. Since the smaller ones on paper have been popular, I am going to try a larger size. I have been trying to figure out what to do with these photos I took in Bryant park, and this is it. they are both 18" x 24".

Pirate a Day

Chris and I made the big move. We now have a stand alone blog called Pirate a Day.
So from now on visit Pirate a Day for the pirate updates, This blog will go back to my other art.
