Piggy Done
Just finished the first of this series. I'm not crazy about this piece but I can't put my finger on why. I stopped at this point because I didn't want to overwork it and make it worse. And, of course, there have been times where I wasn't happy with the piece and it ended up being a fan favorite. I hope this will be one of those cases.

Maybe the paint is sinking into the newspaper background.
The watercolor sink like crazy into the paper. It is difficult to work on the newspaper because the water succks right off the brush and I have to add more paint so often.
That may be your issue with it then...
