Random Thoughts

I was working on a new charcoal piece, but it was boring me to tears. I hate throwing away paper so I started doodling on it. Here is the end result. Charcoal and pastel.

Man Facing Right

I have been working on a half sheet watercolor for a week or so now. I have not liked the way it was coming out so I worked slower and slower. I do not like finishing something I start so I kept with it. I finished it tonight and .... blech!!!. Not for public viewing.

However, I whipped out this charcoal and like it much better than the water color.

Pa and Ma

No this is not my parents. They are two separate photos I got from my reference files. I bought some PICMA Graphic 2 pens. They have archival, waterproof inks. I used these for the inking. Then added a couple of drops of india ink.

The pens worked great. I can work fast and loose. I then added the watercolor. 1/4 sheet hot pressed.

Dripping Sunflower

I started this piece before the limes took over my life. 1/4 sheet hot pressed watercolor paper. Ink done with the eye dropper. Water colors added last.

Unofficial Lime 101

It has been nice taking a little break from art. I sure needed it. It was a joy to loaf around at night. Over at wetcanvas they asked for a photo of the lime which I provided. Then they started a group lime homage thread here I couldn't resist and posted a lime. Unofficially lime 101.

Here are the pictures of the lime.
