Sheep - Step 1

I'm trying something new with this sheep piece. I put down this base color and then I am going to add charcoal. I didn't like the way the watercolor paper took the charcoal last time but I don't give up easily.

It took a long time but I finally finished this pice. I'm not all that happy with it but I can't quite put my finger on why.
